Cate Blanchett was injured during a preview performance of Tennessee Williams' "A Streetcar Named Desire" on September 2nd in Sydney, Australia.

Blanchett, who plays Blanche DeBois in the production, was struck in the back of the head by a prop radio that slipped out of costar Joel Edgerton's hand.

Edgerton was supposed to throw the radio out the window, but he lost control of it.

Blanchett reportedly fell after being hit, but, like a true professional, continued the scene.

She later left the stage, and the rest of the production was cancelled.

A spokesperson for the Sydney Theatre Company, which is putting on the production, said that Blanchett is "fine."

"She is fine this morning and we anticipate at this stage that the show will go ahead tonight." The show will open on Saturday.

Blanchett is co-artistic director of the Sydney Theatre Company along with her husband, playwright Andrew Upton.

She has also appeared on the STC stage in "The War of the Roses" playing Lady Ann and Richard II.

Natasha Richardson passed away on Wednesday at the age of 45 after a skiing accident.

Ms. Richardson had a widely varied career, splitting time between stage and screen. She won a Tony for her performance as Sally Bowles in the 1998 revival of "Cabaret."

She was also in the stage version of "Closer" and the 2005 revival of "A Streetcar Named Desire," where she played opposite Jon C. Reilly.

She made her stage debut in Eugene O'Neill's "Anna Christie" in 1993, in which she met her husband, Liam Neeson.

On film, she notably played the title character in "Patty Hearst."

She also appeared in "The Handmaid's Tale," "Nell," the remake of "The Parent Trap," and "The Comfort of Strangers."

Richardson comes from a long line of thespians. Her mother is Vanessa Redgrave and her father Tony Richardson. Her aunt is Lynn Redgrave and her sister is Joely Richardson.

Entertainment Weekly.com posted a list of 17 key roles for Ms. Richardson from both stage and screen.

Natasha Richardson will be greatly missed by the acting world.
