Sue Howe has been acting since she was in high school. This year she celebrates her 100th birthday.

A party is planned in her honor at the Boise Little Theater.

This business manager at Boise Little Theater, Pat Ryan, calls her a natural. Marie Blanchard, who has appeared in more than 25 shows with Howe, says the centenarian is a "consummate actress."

Blanchard thinks that in different circumstances, Howe could have been a movie star.

She performed at the Pasadena Playhouse and a number of other California theaters before her family convinced her to move to Idaho.

During her time at Boise Little Theater, Howe became particularly known for playing the title role in the "Opal" comedies.

Ryan, the business manager, declared, "she's a great comedian."
