Gina Wilhelm Actress - Helen Mirren Honored as Good Actress
Dame Helen Mirren received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 19th Annual Women In Film and Television Awards on December 4.
The 64-year-old Mirren received an Oscar for her performance in "The Queen," in which she played Queen Elizabeth II. That portrayal received approval of the monarch herself.
Mirren received the award for her "'outstanding and lasting' contribution to film and television." She came to prominence as detective Jane Tennison on the television series "Prime Suspect."
She shares the honor with such actresses as Dame Judi Dench, Dame Maggie Smith, Dame Diana Rigg, and Julie Walters.
